Being a living organ donor once is cool enough. But being a dual, living organ donor is beyond belief. Not only did I not have to wait until my death to make sure my organs were donated to help someone, but twice, I got an excellent clean bill of health. What could be better than that combination?
Connecticut’s National Kidney Foundation held their annual “Gift of Life Gala” in Hartford on March 29, 2008. I was presented with the “Gift of Life Award” for altruistically donating left kidney. It was quite an honor, but all I had to do was lay there and go to sleep while Dr. Hull (far right) and his team did all the work. If you ever meet him, thank him for saving my life too. The things I won’t do for a reason to wear my tux. I received a very nice award plate along with an “Official Statement” from the Governor of Connecticut. It stated that I’m an ok guy. Thanks!

Great Job Harry to you and all the doctors… Great web site!
