Well it’s taken some time to get it all together, but we are having our first National Living Organ Donors’ Support Group meeting next Tuesday evening @ 6:45. This will be an open group, meaning anyone and everyone is invited to attend. There will not be a specific agenda. We want everyone to feel free to discuss anything they wish.
This is open to all who would like to attend. We are hoping to attract not only living organ donors, but organ recipients, donor families, medical professionals and anyone who would like to know anything about organ donation.
Our host is Congregation Kol Haverim, 1079 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT 06033. They have graciously offered the use of the social hall for our purpose.
Our meeting schedule is a follow:
Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Tuesday, February 21, 2012
Tuesday, March 6, 2012
All meeting will start at 6:45.
We hope that, starting with April, the group will meet on the third Tuesday of each month.
Hello! This was sent to me by a friend who suggested I check it out. I am a living liver donor in Ct. and my recipient lives here in Ct too. We have been involved with ALF for the last 10 years. Our transplant was done at NYU 10 years ago. I am excited to see a support group has come together! Please e-mail me information. I cannot attend the meeting this week, but may be able to in February. I will pass this on to my recipient.
Sincerely,
Helen
